Chapters
Chapter 1 – Structures
Without the use of information, all that exists in the
universe is particles. The only reference is the elemental
particle, and everything is particles. By using information, we
can say that a group of elemental particles that are not the
universe and are combined according to their principles are a
whole unit, a system, or a structure. The collection of particles
can be identified by basic points of view such as the quantity,
quality, and actions among them. Thus, we have an informational
reference, and we may assign limits based on these three points
of view.
Chapter 2 - Disequilibrium
Matter is active throughout its entire structure, among
levels and at every level. These actions create changes in one
or more levels of the structure; these changes can be seen as
movement, which can be considered as the operation of the
structure. Actions on structures of matter are defined by the
characteristics of elemental particles, their mass and charge,
and then by the emergent properties of these structures, where
there will be different types of actions for different groups of
particles.
Chapter 3 - One Model For Nature
Structures and disequilibrium create reality. We can call it
a model for reality. The model for reality or simple reality is
the attribution of meaning to matter. This attribution of
meaning itself is information. Now, there is also a biology
model that names reality: nature; which in turn splits nature by
two facts: live matter and inert matter. The facts for the
living are birth, growth, reproduction and death. But under the
reality model, the facts for life are structure and
disequilibrium. Then what is the difference between live matter
and inert matter? The main difference between live matter and
inert matter is the ability to direct disequilibrium.
Chapter 4 - What Is Information?
Information is the result of informational ability.
Informational ability comes from a material disequilibrium that
emerges in a material structure, organisms; which in turn is
able to create informational structures, living being. This
process includes sub-processes perception, discrimination,
accrual, comparison, and judgment. While in the material
disequilibrium, elemental particles and their properties create
new systems; in the informational process only properties
defined in the particular truth exist: information.
Chapter 5 - Where Is The Information?
We have already said information is the result of the
informational ability of living beings. This informational
ability allows us to create objects that put together with our
expectations or goals, create a general model, which is our
philosophy. In a more graphic way, we can say that the
information is a system, a photo, and the informational ability
is a process that creates the movie. That movie is also
information; the life that every living being creates is its
nature.
Chapter 6 - Ten Basic Informational Concepts
These informational concepts we are going to see are for
reference; they are first-level or second-level discriminations;
they are objects or models that exit within living
beings.
- Perfection, Homogeneity.
- Points of View.
- Logic.
- Structure.
- Cycles.
- Equilibrium.
- Measurement.
- Numbers and Mathematics.
- Time.
- The Information Trap.
Chapter 7 - Uses Of Information
Decision Making
The main use of information is to support informational
ability, that is, making decisions to support the process of
life. The living being, to meet its vital functions, requires
accrued information, which enables the living being to maintain
the condition that characterizes its improbable material state.
Communication
Communication is a process that allows the integration of
living beings. As said, the use of information is to
maintain the material integrity of the living being, the
whole-parts, as stated in the decision making section, to
live. But communication can be seen as the use of
information to maintain the community, group of living
beings, parts-whole.
Chapter 8 - Levels In Informational Ability
The smallest living being that gives rise to life has minimal
informational ability. Informational ability grows according to
structural and functional properties of living beings, as well
as other emergent properties due to the communication processes.
As mentioned, the structuring of human beings is being
supplemented with external tools for managing codes, which will
facilitate communication and evolution towards the living being
humanity, which would have the highest level of informational
ability we can conceive. In the other direction, if the minimum
living being is broken, it loses its informational ability. It
becomes an inert matter with no informational ability.
